in Pennsylvania, that they had given up on the state and pulled out the meager resources they originally had there since they realized they didn't stand a chance.
Do you think Clinton and the Democratic party had little ground game in historically Democratic Pennsylvania? or in Wisconsin? or in Ohio, which has been a swing state in the last several election cycles?
Do you think Clinton and the Democrats were just pretty darn stupid then and Trump was the far more intelligent and effective candidate then?
He certainly spent FAR fewer resources on the campaign, was fighting against his own party regulars, was fighting against historically bad perception of himself and overwhelming attacks from the mass media, the politicians and the Hollywood celebrities. In fact, the Democrats could hardly contain their glee at how difficult it was for Trump to get anyone of any significance to speak on his behalf at his primary victory celebration at the Republican National Convention.
