I have gotten confused by you in the last 5 months.
What my point was is this.
When it comes to the economy..those that are in power and their followers claim the economy is great..those that are not in power do the opposite
When it comes to "rule of law" the same suit follows.
Another instance is when Obama nominated the last Supreme Court Justice...both sides and their followers used the opposite arguments compared to what they had used before when a Republican nominated a judge with a Democratic congress.
Same could be said of intelligence ...when you compare Bush 2 vs Obama. Iraq WMDs vs Russian hackers
you may be corredct that I don't take a stand on many thigns...because taking an absolute stand in terms of public policy is not in my DNA. I rarely think there is one "correct" answer. I see both extremes as usually wrong, and the best coruse of action is somewhere in the middle. That is probably the researcher/scientist in me that works with models, and knows there is no perfect model out there, and always new data that comes forth anc changes the model.
