UNCW was completely terrible before he got there. He went from last to first in one year and has won the league (CAA) both years that he's been there and should win it this year as well (though CoC is good). More than anything, what stands out to me about his tenure at UNCW is that he has won with veteran and youthful teams. No matter what the case, he wins championships.

He coached for several years in prep school before coming under Pitino's wing.

As impressive as McCall is, he took over a decent team with several talented guys. To date I'm not sold he can sustain the success he's had but it seems like more of a certainty with Keatts.
