The crux of the matter is that no one has established that:

1. The Russians hacked the DNC
2. The Russians hacked Podesta's email account
3. The Russians gave the hacked emails to Wikileaks
4. The Russians did all of the above in an effort to elect Trump

If they can't prove the above, it is nothing but speculation and innuendo.

FWIW, the former UK Ambassador claims that he knows for a fact that the above assertions are hogwash:
