at the end of the day, he's simply going to make my life more expensive, in order to redistribute wealth and buy votes.

So, government business as usual. If he wants to slap a bunch of tarriffs on everything, why not also gut the welfare state and then abolish the Federal income tax. I could definitely get into that trade policy 100%.
