China aggressively CONSTRICTS the import of American goods.
The United States aggressively MAXIMIZES the import of Chinese goods.
A 'free market' economy would allow businesses in both countries to compete.
Trump can't ban corporations from locating operations overseas. But he can push for massive tariffs on goods imported into the US, and he can do so to the point where that equalizes what the Chinese are doing.
The reason it's a 'dumb market' right now is based on the fact that we're doing nothing on our side, in effect forcing corporations to move facilities overseas in order to compete: that's the lowest cost model.
If you're interested in maintaining an economically strong United States, that's a market which couldn't get any dumber...
