At this same time, he also had recruited Victor Oladipo (a top 2 NBA pick) and had multiple top 100 ranked players on the roster (Jordy Hulls, Christian Watford and Maurice Creek to name a few). In year 3 the overhaul was officially underway to set up a successful 4th season. This after overcoming NCAA sanctions that handcuffed the program and resulted in Crean only having 1 scholarship player on the roster, a former walk-on.
