is not a blue blood, and we have issues, so we're not going to hire a successful P5 coach.
Off the court, Mizzou has had racial unrest, multiple negative issues within the AD, and the biggest factor is apathy of the student body. The older generation got their guy & they're loving that, but most people under the age of 50 don't think very highly of it. Having nil student support does not look good for prospective coaches.
As far as the roster, there are some pieces to work with - just as their were when Kim was hired. The new coach will want his guys (he may be able to cope with an other coach's players better than Kim), but this isn't a roster that's locked in to win 20 next year.
