The outcome placed total control of the government—executive, Congress, the Supreme Court—in the hands of the Republican Party, which has become the most dangerous organization in world history.
Apart from the last phrase, all of this is uncontroversial. ...
Baloney. All of it is flawed.

Wrong. The Republican Party establishment hated Trump and many publicly spoke out against him even after he won the nomination. Some publicly said they were voting for Hillary. It's rather disingenuous to say they have control over even the executive branch, much less "total control". There are also warring factions within the Republican Party. The establishment has battled with the Tea Party pretty strongly in the past and doesn't have an overwhelming majority of the Senate or the House.
They very clearly DO NOT have TOTAL CONTROL over the Supreme Court. At best there will be a balance between the rational members vs the evil Democratic leaning ones. President Trump will get to nominate one Supreme Court justice which will restore the delicate balance, though it will lean left even if a decent justice is nominated and approved.
