when Quin was coach of the Austin Toros (now Austin Spurs) I was actually making more money than he was. And I'm by no means a baller.
The players in D-League are basically hanging around there for the chance to get called up and make big NBA bucks. The NBA teams apparently realize that, that if they were just in it for the money these players would be over in Europe already. So the NBA teams pay their D-League players and coaches crap, because they can get away with it.
When I met the Beaker scum that is Keith Langford in Austin one time when he was playing for the Austin Toros I think he said he was making like $30k.
