only because despite all this wailing about infrastructure, I certainly don't see the big need, at least in roads. In fact, around here what I see in last couple of years is repaving perfectly good roads that didn't need a damn thing done.

As to other projects, I don't know, but I suspect the push is simply to provide jobs. But if the work is of minimal need, its also a mis-allocation of resources, no matter who funds it.
