They don't like the liberals/socialists/big government

intruding into their lives so much, especially since their values are so different than those of Texas... and of our nation for some 200 years.

A smaller federal government with less power over the states would fix that problem.

Ironically, the liberals/socialists/Big Government advocates are upset that they may not have that overbearing power to impose their will on the rest of society for at least awhile and want to leave... but if they secede they will have virtually NO power over the more rational part of the country.
