if they have no access and can ask no questions he can't give any stupid answers or go off half cocked. I really don't think he just hates the media, his handlers have just convinced him that he can't control his mouth so this would control it for him.
Don't kid yourself, Donald wants attention 24/7 but it's a wise move to keep him from the media as much as possible.
