You misunderstand the position of supporters of open borders

We don't think moving around freely is illegal.
So, no one is demanding that immigrants illegally enter and seek employment within the jurisdictional area of the united states. Legality or illegality have nothing to do with it from our standpoint.
It's not a point, counter-point argument.
The argument starts with people not wanting immigrants (something which has existed since the beginning of civilization) and it manifests itself with people hanging their hats on the illegality component to keep them out.
You cannot deny that a good deal of people do not like immigrants. This is nothing new.
