never have the productivity levels we do in America. Our productivity always pulls us through recessions faster than in other places. Europe moves like a glacier with all of its historical bull**** and tradition.
I don't think the pendulum has gone too far with banks and I think you are underestimating how much they want to diversify back into risky created products (like CDOs were before) because growth in straight banking is hard to come by these days without consolidation and the consolidation days are numbered already (feds won't allow anymore takeovers).
