it is with independents. Many of us who no longer strongly identify with the Republican party may have a hard time forgetting how much of a hindrance to unity Paul Ryan was in regard to Trump. Having said that, Ryan had plenty of reason to steer clear of Trump. Trump had baggage and wouldn't shut the hell up when it mattered most.
Ryan is a much better candidate to be president, but he refused to run. His refusal to answer the call may be his biggest problem.
