If, for example, someone in the government had reason to believe there were emails that involved actual secret information (financially supporting protesters trying to overturn a government or something) but nobody knew for sure, you'd think they'd need a fairly major reason to take that info from the cops.
I'm not saying the bureau would try to "hush" things for political reasons, but if they wanted to for security reasons and didn't want everyone to know that's why they were doing it they'd have to have a good reason to snag them, right?
