And as much as I'd like to see KA prove everyone wrong and turn things around, the odds are in favor of him being gone in the near future.
If we can't get one of the top targets for the fall, I'd prefer the spot stay open for the new coach. Not in the FIJI "we shouldn't sign anyone ever so the new coach has the most scholarships possible" sort of way, but I'd rather not go with a distant backup plan right now. Someone like Mack or Haase? Bring 'em on board. Otherwise, save it. If KA returns for a fourth year, go with a grad transfer if possible. Best of both words. Gets someone who can (presumably) play while retaining flexibility for whoever might be here to use it.
