One, oversampling is totally valid when trying to get the opinions of smaller populations (like, stay-at-home-moms between 25-45) where you're trying to measure a group. However, you can control for that in the overall population.

Two, Polls that consistently demonstrate inaccuracies aren't going to be taken seriously over time and will be discounted.
