if you hurt a guy on a play that draws a flag, the penalty is that you sit out until the other guy can come back.

Many of you might recall when Jerry Rice torn his ACL, but don't recall the circumstances. It was week one and Warren Sapp twisted and flung Rice down by the facemask. Sapp got a 15 yard penalty. Rice missed 14.5 games.
