that is is subjectively made up by each individual... and may well be very different from one person to another?

The meaning to life is to accumulate as much power and wealth as you can... "He who dies with the most toys wins!"

"He who wins the most fights wins!"?

"He who conquers the most countries wins!"?

"He who can kill the most people wins!"?

"He who has the most descendants wins!"?
