They revamped and were gearing up to start production again of steel. China shut them down because they were willing to drive the price up where it was unaffordable for Sheffield to buy it.
But the Chinese could buy it at those prices because it eliminate their competition. And the fact they could give 2 sh*ts about CO2 emissions to smelt that steel gives them another leg up on coal. Which we've shut down in our country and put people out of work.
