A company I worked for wanted to build a new facility. They COULDN'T get the steel at a reasonable price because the Chinese were driving up the prices by buying all of our scrap steel to re-smelt.
Our own steel plants were idle because they couldn't get raw materials because the Chinese were buying it all.
