wanted badly for him to win.

Ultimately, Trump's temperament is why he will lose this election. It's that simple. If he could have acted remotely serious and presidential (like he did during his meeting with the Mexican president for example) in a consistent way, then he would be in a great position to win this election, even with the tax and women controversies. He self-destructed, to an extent that people who hate Hillary will either vote for her or abstain.
