that SuperTone is trying to foment. Voting machines in MO are never on any type of network nor do they have any access to the cloud. The elections are "built" by manually entering the races and subsequent candidates about 10 weeks prior to an election by in house staff on a standalone, never networked, server. Usually at the bi-partisan, director level. Each precinct has one machine or scanner that is programmed, again by staff or directors, with that precinct's races (where you live determines what you vote on). Each machine is tested by a bipartisan team the week before the election for accuracy. After they pass these tests, the machines are sealed with a tamper proof seal that has a number and that number is recorded and checked again by staff when the equipment is returned on election night. The memory cards are removed, by staff, and uploaded to the server. PDF files of the reports are created and downloaded to a flash drive the uploaded to the website from another PC that is of course on the network. All of this is done under public scrutiny. Public can observe all testing and the whole process.
