do what every other program does and hire a regular coach and start having success without such a low ceiling, which is a considerably easier and more likely path to rebuilding.

You are talking about if lots of things break in our favor (despite no evidence thus far that is likely) by maintaining this current path we can potentially get back to the level Haith left us disappointingly at right around the time Kim reaches the same age that Norm was when he retired. Why take that huge risk for such a low payoff?
