Thinkgs were a tad dicey at the time. W had left us on the verge of global economic collapse will do that to you. And the president got so focused on HC reform that time passed fast and not much got done. He also didn't understand how things worked in DC that well at the time. That's what I saw anyway.

Clinton will not need that learning curve.
