It is what fosters goods to be made in places that have cheap labor and less restrictions.

If you want to argue it helps the developing country by bringing them jobs and then goods back here cheaper have at it. I will argue it largely goes to increased profit but ok.

It also does nothing for those people that used to have jobs making the goods whose job just went to a foreign country
