I admit that I am confused by this response.

It was my understanding that you believe there is no proof of planetary formation. So, I could state any number of reasons why I believe it to be true, and you would not accept any of them, which is why I posed the question so that I could figure out how to best provide it.
As for why I believe it, we have observed the formation of stars in various stages in our universe. We know the elements in those gas clouds. We know that they cool down and we know the process of accretion. We know that there is gravitational forces and see how that will create planets. There's a number of knowns that have been confirmed and those serve as blocks to build what has happened.
