Yes, but there are many assistants who don't get the job done. Apparently they were unable to "move forward" It's not likewise unreasonable to think that Cross is not the right guy. Charlie Strong and Les Miles are two coaches who got in trouble over assistants. Maybe Odom just made a bad choice as did Pinkel with Eberflus.

Time will tell but quotes like the poster is giving us doesn't paint the picture we were hoping for
