meaningless various rights are if the most fundamental of all rights, the right to life, is not honored.
If your government claims you have a right to free speech but also claims a right to kill you for any reason, do you really have a right to free speech?
I suppose you might argue that you could shout "My government stinks!" as loudly as you like, but if your government then sends a swat team over to kill you, is your "guaranteed right" of any real use to you?
