He may have lost some ground in the polls, but what you fail to realize is that a deciding factor could be voter turnout differential (i.e. enthusiasm gap).
What YOU see is Trump losing some ground (a point or two) in the polls, but what you DON'T see are Trump's actions racheting up the enthusiasm of his base EVEN FURTHER. They will come out in DROVES to vote for him.
To put it simply, Trump's 40% of the electorate will be far more valuable than Hillary's 45% of the electorate, or whatever the numbers may be. Possibly, significantly more valuable. It wouldn't shock me if Trump wins by 5-7 points or more in some of the key battleground states.
