Two syllables, six letters. The utterance of which can ruin lives. A white person saying those two syllables is a racist. No doubt about it, unequivocal and irredeemable.
For just saying that word, a white man is allowed to be beaten, robbed, even killed. At least he must be fired and ostracized. He cannot be allowed to earn a living or mingle in polite Society. If he's white.
The reaction to the word is so over the top, and demeaning to blacks. It assumes that the hearing of that word by a young black child will ruin that person forever. A little girl who overhears that, even if not intended for her, and with no racial animus as context, will destroy her life. She will drop out of school, get pregnant at 14, and live on welfare for the rest of her life. Bitter, hateful and unhappy. Another victim of racism.
Come on... Ever see the movie Blazing Saddles?
It's a bad word. So is MF, so is GD, so are lots of words. But this one causes death.
