100 times per day in casual conversation from students walking the hallways at school still has the ability to start such a shlt storm.
If that word is truly offensive then it needs to be stomped out of existence and not used by anyone. You cannot claim that a word used in 3/4th of the songs found on your iPhone is harmful to your psyche.
African Americans have a choice to make, either eliminate the acceptance of the word from your casual conversation or admit that it no longer has meaning. Once that is done then the rest of society can adjust accordingly.
