How are they any less reliable than 'scientific' ones that poll twice as many registered democrats as republicans?
There is absolutely no objective measure to who won a debate. Trump people will always claim he won, Hillary people will always claim she won.
The truth is that neither candidate made any major gaffs, Trump did not say anything obnoxious or stupid, Hillary was able to avoid all of her trustworthiness issues (admittedly with the help of a moderator who refused to bring them up, but none the less).
That debate did absolutely nothing to sway undecided voters.
