As a long time high school coach I'll let you in on a little secret, even at the best schools a vast majority of the athletes never play past high school.

It is not about making them major leaguers or D-1 players. It is about teamwork, hard work, pushing yourself and becoming a better person. if you have ever been in a team huddle during a timeout very little of the discussion is about X's and O's. It is usually about attitude, effort, pride and what it means to give more to the team than you thought you had to give. Those are the lessons I teach my child and I do no less for my players.
