Europe... including Estonia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Poland, Latvia & Croatia. In the Asia-Pacific region we are ranked below New Zealand, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Japan, Mongolia, & Vanautu. In Africa we are ranked below Cape Verde, Benin, Mauritius, Rwanda, South Africa & Lesotho.
Yes, we are above others, and the headline may have overstated things, but the fact is one would expect more from a country holding itself up as the paragon of Democracy, especially when that country is the richest and most powerful on earth.
