FIRST you have to understand that these figures are Literary Characters and they have DISTINCT characteristics. Yahweh - of whom Jesus was a STRICT adherent - was activist and intercessionary in the lives of men. The FATHER figure embraced by what would become Christians and Catholics eons after the time the Teacher spoke, is a quiet, loving, sweetheart of a guy like a kind patrician.

Harold Bloom wrote a terrific book on this.
