Duane John showed a lot of potential until dope caught up with him. Rankings don't factor off the court stuff in.
Echols was coming off of a blown knee and still showed some flashes. Just no consistency. He was quite possibly ranked properly prior to the injury.
Who knows on Whaley. Maybe if the trouble had never come along his head is right. Maybe not.
