during an election"? You say the GOP and Dems "were not for him"? He was the GOP nominee for petesakes. AND he and Casey and company committed high crimes prior to the election. Y'all love to give Ron a pass on those crimes - to which he later admitted with a shrug.

He was a skilled speaker, yes. I saw him too. But Obama blows the guy out of the water as an orator. Obama's style is far more soaring and eloquent. Best we have seen. Reagan was skilled THEATRICALLY, the shrug, the "there you go again". He knew how to connect much like Clinton knew how to connect. Bubba v Ronnie would have been an awesome race I always thought.
