hypocrisy of a candidate.
When a millionaire claims to be a champion of the poor and wants to raise everyone's taxes for new programs I want to see that they have been actually helping the poor on their own dime.
I do not know what Trump has donated to charity but I do know that his companies are responsible for thousands of working people putting food on the table.
This is my opinion but I would rather see someone invest $100,000 in a business that will create new jobs than give it to a homeless shelter. The homeless shelter will buy $100,000 worth of supplies and in a few months they will all be gone. The jobs created by a new business are self sustaining and continue to feed families long after the original $100,000 is gone.
Homeless shelters and soup kitchens need to be short term solutions. Feed and clothe those in need but that does nothing to address the underlying issue. These people need job skills so they can care for their families on their own.
