the new coach cannot recruit at the level Hoiberg did? Fred HATED recruiting, but he did well. He hit home runs with Niang, Morris, Long and Thomas, but not much else in the prep ranks. The rest of his talent came from JC or transfers.

So far, 247 has Iowa State's 2017 class rated top 20 and we have two top 100 kids visiting the 23rd while Joiner is visiting Mizzou. We have verbals from three top 200 kids so far.

In last year's class, Prohm added a top 10 JC guard, a top 150 prep guard and a solid prep big man.

To me, the jury is very much still out on if Prohm can recruit at Hoiberg's level as he is doing far better than I anticipated so far.
