and you'll see a claim from a couple of posters that said the debt doubled and tripled under Obama. I just want to inform the unenlightened.

Tired of the hypocrisy of people who want to reduce deficits yet their idolized one (Reagan) grew the debt by about two times more than Obama. Then when comparing the tax plans of Clinton and Trump, it's Trump's plan that is projected to produce more deficits than Clinton. This is the case even you look at the more conservative Tax Foundation. http://taxfoundation.org/blog/comparison-presidential-tax-plans-and-their-economic-effects

Note: Trump has since moderated his plan and narrowed the deficit more.
