This refers to his right to protest, not whether you agree or disagree with it. If Colin was my son, I would have ensured he had a strong knowledge of the issue of police brutality. If he did, then I would support him, even if I wouldn't have done it.

Now we have the controversial Shawn King, who I don't always agree with. However, he does bring up a good point with this quote:

"In other words, if you are white and think this country sucks, you should run for President on that premise, but if you are black and think the same thing, you should move the hell out."
