I wouldn't assume what I know about Illinois and what I don't. And you still haven't addressed the underlying point, but that's not unexpected, though I suppose the over the top response was.
Schools like Minnesota and UWM have averaged higher finishes than you in the time frame you cited among other schools. Basketball, with the city of Chicago in your state still has never won an NCAA tournament - and somehow a basketball backwater like UF (and I mean that sincerely even now) has two. Football has one league title in a quarter century and hasn't been relevant nationally since around WW2, in the whole history of the university you have won exactly one women's title in any sport and that was nearly 40 years ago.
If you feel this is acceptable just say so, if not I am not sure what we are discussing. Or should we go back to talking superiority over Mizzou?
