better, but certainly not a lot of guys. Not that he would come, but let's say for comparison we'd hired Calipari instead of Kim. We would have still seen massive roster turnover because Cal would have brought in new kids that put the existing ones on the bench right out of the gate. A guy like that would have had a quicker fix, but the program would have still been much more volatile due to early departures.
I do not know that Kim is capable of building a program this way, but the best way to do it is still the "old fashioned" way....so to speak.
You put a bunch of solid 3-4 year players like Phillips, Puryear, Walton, Jackson, Hughes, maybe Smith and Nikko, and the put a few 1-2 year players in with them.
Yes, I want to win a championship, but honestly, I don't want to do it the way Kentucky does it. I'd like for most of our players to play 3-4 years. In any given year, I'd like our roster to be 8-ish 3-4 year players and 3 or 4 1-2 year players.
