So my girlfriend wants to watch the opener

as a family, meaning all of her kids (four of them) and us together, camped out in front of the big TV downstairs. She is talking about making a bunch of party trays and playing Mizzou-themed games, etc., during commercials and at halftime. I can already see the two youngest kids whining, fighting and being disruptive. The oldest will want to talk my ear off about Cardinals baseball, and the second oldest will be shoving funny YouTube videos in my face. Normally I would not care.

But I don't want to do these things on Game Day.

I prefer to hide away in the bedroom, lock the door and watch the game on my 27" Vizio. How do I communicate this with upsetting her?

Please explain why this message is being reported.
