Life is about playing the hand you're dealt. New Chancellor and President will need to take this as an opportunity to grow MU back at a more manageable and ultimately more healthy pace -- keep the average incoming test scores up, keep retention high, drop the number of career grad students, control costs as you grow -- and the result will be that in 3 to 5 years MU will be in better shape in all aspects than it was prior to '15.
