in the living room & keep the TV on continuously anytime she was asleep. Visitors would come & go. They'd start off barely whispering if she was sleeping. In my regular conversational voice, I'd reply to speak normally--she'll be fine. After seeing so many friends tiptoeing & whispering as if they were in a library with their newborn two rooms away, i wanted our daughter to adapt to us. As a result, she grew up able to sleep through anything without us having to shut everything down every time she went to sleep.

Congrats Pop--enjoy the greatest role you'll ever have.
