The sports writers covering Mizzou have been far too willing to skirt issues in order to maintain access IMO. This goes on for the last decade if not 15 years-the meek condemnation of Alden that followed one of the the Sasha Menu Courey press conferences was about the only other time I remember the press giving significant acknowledgement to the AD's methods of (lack of) transparency on issues that some public knowledge. Having to answer some of the difficult questions is how you make people avoid making the mistakes / taking short cuts in the first place.
